limited edition

The idea for this pouch came to Mira as she delved into the earliest designs of pouches, those that existed before their integration into clothing. Exploring its history, she was struck by how revolutionary the pouch was for women: finally, an object of their own, a place to conceal small personal items. It marked the beginning of both intimacy and independence. Mira was particularly drawn to the concept of a functional accessory that could also elegantly shape the silhouette. Today, she meticulously creates each pouch using leathers sourced from designer deadstock and vintage garments, ensuring that every piece becomes a unique, singular work of art for the wearer.

“As I delved into the history of the pouch, I was struck by its revolutionary spirit for women. Imagine, at last, an object entirely their own! A whisper of self.”

– Mira van den Neste

About Mira

Mira Van den Neste is a scenographer working in the field of contemporary art, with a strong focus on museums and exhibition design. Her work investigates the relationships between space, materiality, and narration, shaping environments that invite new forms of perception. She has collaborated with several artists, most notably Yto Barrada, with whom she develops an ongoing dialogue. Together, they are currently preparing the Venice Biennale 2026, continuing their shared research into display and storytelling.

In parallel, Mira builds a clothing practice centered on slowness and handcraft. Drawing inspiration from men’s fashion, she creates garments that explore intimacy through sensitive details and artisanal techniques. This practice extends her scenographic approach on a smaller, bodily scale, allowing her research to unfold at the intersection of art, fashion, and craftsmanship.
