On October 15, 2023, thousands of people joined a protest march against the genocide in Palestine/Gaza. The march began at Dam Square and continued to Westerpark in Amsterdam. People waved Palestinian flags, wore keffiyehs, and chanted, “Free, free Palestine, from the river to the sea.” The streets were filled with people marching, standing on the sidelines, and waving from their windows. Among them was one woman, deeply emotional. This artwork was created in response to that moment.
