Made in pure silver, this piece is both adornment and utility. Mira’s collection takes its cue from the unspoken poetry of daily gestures. One summer, she found herself repeatedly rolling up the sleeves of her t-shirt, only for them to slip back again. From that small frustration emerged the idea for a jewel that holds fabric in place while lending an understated elegance.

The collaboration with jewellery designer PAIL brings together two complementary perspectives: Mira’s instinct for transforming the everyday into something refined, and PAIL’s precision and craft. The result is a contemporary piece that balances function with beauty — discreet enough for daily wear, distinctive enough to be noticed. It is jewellery with purpose: a subtle expression of style that works as well as it looks.

“In summer, I often roll up the sleeves of my t-shirt, only to find them slipping down again. That’s when the idea for this jewel came to me — designed to keep the sleeves in place, with just a touch of elegance.”

About Mira

Mira Van den Neste is a scenographer working in the field of contemporary art, with a strong focus on museums and exhibition design. Her work investigates the relationships between space, materiality, and narration, shaping environments that invite new forms of perception. She has collaborated with several artists, most notably Yto Barrada, with whom she develops an ongoing dialogue. Together, they are currently preparing the Venice Biennale 2026, continuing their shared research into display and storytelling.

In parallel, Mira builds a clothing practice centered on slowness and handcraft. Drawing inspiration from men’s fashion, she creates garments that explore intimacy through sensitive details and artisanal techniques. This practice extends her scenographic approach on a smaller, bodily scale, allowing her research to unfold at the intersection of art, fashion, and craftsmanship.
